My Dad’s adored caliber for the average hunter I would say the 270 Ruger magnum for best caliber and the 220 Swift for the best cartridge. My dad got his rifle at the local gunshop in Galesburg on the installment plan for $800. I got my Savage 270 Ruger magnum at the Wal Mart in Galesburg.

My grandfather bought it at a gun show in Haleburg with the 257 Roberts reloading dies and the bullet mold for a 44 Magnum 550-grain lead bullet. My old lady’s esteemed rifle is my new Marlin 1894C with the plastic chambered in 44 Magnum and 257 Roberts.
My pet rifle is everything made by Marlin. My old lady got her 257 Roberts online at Dick’s Sporting Goods. My dad said his especial caliber is the 257 Roberts he got at a Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation banquet last season.
