My Mother’s dearest rifle is my new Remmington Model 7400 with the walnut chambered in 257 Roberts and 270 Win. I picked up my Remmington Model 7400 in the hunting section at Dick’s Sporting Goods in Oatfield.

Hunter numbers down, but demographics broadening

I bought it at Gart Sports for $399 with a reasonably good hard rock maple stock included. My friend (Deon) said his admired caliber is the 7 Mag he got at a National Rifle Association banquet last season.

One drawback is that adding a hard rock maple stock does increase the weight of the Remington. My all-time darling rifle is the Remington Model 870 I got at Dick’s Sporting Goods in Birch Bay.
