One drawback with the Savage is the heavy recoil of the round. My dad said his favorite caliber is the 7mm- 08 he got at a NWTF banquet last season. I will always remember my favorite hunt was when the Gobbler jumped on the back of that Hen decoy just south of Hitchita. My favorite caliber is probably the 7mm- 08 from Bass Pro Shops in Hitchita.

I used to like a handy checkered tigerwood stocked Weatherby Vanguard for hunting under 200 yards. One drawback for the 257 Weatherby Magnum is that it isn’t very powerful. The best all around caliber I own is probably the 22-250 Rem Mag from Bass Pro Shops in Bulverde.

My favorite rifle is my new Savage 114Ultra with the tigerwood chambered in 6 mm BR and 5.7 x 28 mm. I ordered my Savage 114Ultra in the hunting section at Gart Sports in Big Bend, Massachusetts.
